[Food in Seoul] A Delicious Korean BBQ Experience, Ttukseom’s 'Nunkkot Dwaeji' – Near SM town, Seoul Forest, Seongsu Area

If you’re planning a visit to Seongsu-dong or SM Town(K-pop enterprise), ‘Nunkkot Dwaeji’ near Ttukseom Station is a perfect dining stop. Known for its signature snowflake samgyeopsal (pork belly) and Iberico pork neck, this Korean BBQ restaurant offers expertly grilled meats and a cozy, lively atmosphere. Even on a weekday evening, the place was packed with diners, reflecting its popularity.

Signature Meats: Iberico Pork Neck and Snowflake Samgyeopsal
We ordered the Iberico pork neck and the snowflake samgyeopsal. The pork neck was tender and rich, with a texture comparable to high-quality beef, while the samgyeopsal had perfectly marbled fat that made every bite juicy and flavorful.
One of the restaurant’s standout features is that the staff grills the meat for you, ensuring a perfect caramelization that locks in all the juices. Many customers rave about how the Iberico pork keeps its juices inside, delivering bold, savory flavors in each bite.

Flavorful Side Dishes
The side dishes elevated the entire meal. The soondubu-jjigae (soft tofu stew) had a deeply rich and savory broth, providing a comforting start. The chive salad, with its fragrant sesame oil seasoning, paired beautifully with the grilled meat. Additionally, the doenjang rice offered a balanced and satisfying finish, although some might find the butter-flavored stir-fried rice a bit strong depending on their taste.

A Cozy Atmosphere and Scenic Walk Option
The restaurant maintained a warm, comfortable vibe despite being busy. The staff’s attentive service and the well-prepared, high-quality food made the entire experience enjoyable. It’s an excellent place for a casual dinner, gathering with friends, or a family meal.
After your meal, you can take a leisurely stroll through Seoul Forest, which is nearby. The calm, scenic park provides the perfect way to digest and relax after a hearty Korean BBQ feast.
