Romance on the Water: Minrak Waterside Park - Gwangalli's Nightlife Hub, Busan
Minrak Waterside Park is one of Busan's most vibrant coastal spots, famous for being the first place to greet the sea breeze and offering a front-row seat to the dazzling night views of Marine City and the Gwangan Bridge.
Established in 1997, this park has long been a beloved sanctuary for Busan citizens, consistently providing an unparalleled vista where the blue sky meets the endless ocean.

The Duality of Day and Night
Minlak Waterside Park has two distinct personalities, making it an essential visit no matter the time of day:
• By Day (Healing & Calm): The wide-open view of the blue sea is deeply refreshing. It’s a peaceful spot perfect for quiet contemplation, offering a sense of calm solitude where you can fully immerse yourself in the ocean atmosphere.
• By Night (Energy & Romance): The park truly comes alive after sunset. The lights of Marine City and the majestic Gwangan Bridge reflect off the gentle night waves like a field of twinkling stars, creating an atmosphere bursting with energy and romance. During the summer, it becomes a famous gathering place for people looking to escape the heat.

Fireworks and Food
• The Best Seat in the House: Every autumn, the park is one of the most popular (and closest) places to watch the magnificent Busan Fireworks Festival, offering a perspective even better than the main beach.
• Seafood Paradise: The area surrounding the park is a destination for food lovers. You can find atmospheric Pojangmacha (street food tents) and specialized restaurants serving incredibly fresh seafood. Savor your meal with the ocean as your backdrop, or grab a coffee at one of the cafes for a relaxing break.

Strolling and Cycling
After a satisfying meal, take a leisurely walk along the promenade that stretches from the park to Gwangalli Beach. The constantly changing light display on the Gwangan Bridge offers a beautiful visual accompaniment to your walk. The sea breeze is guaranteed to blow away any worries you might have hidden away.
• Cycling: The park is equipped with a dedicated bike path. If you visit during the day, you can take advantage of the free bicycle rental service located in front of Samick Beach Town Apartment Complex (Building 301) near Gwangalli Beach. Just bring your ID!
A Note on Park Etiquette:
• Minrak Waterside Park has been designated as a non-drinking zone since July 1, 2023.
• Please ensure you take all trash with you, and refrain from engaging in disruptive behavior (loud noise, etc.). Pets are not allowed in the park.
