It's Here! The Han River Sledding Hills are Open for Winter Fun

Get ready to slide! Seoul is ringing in the New Year by opening its popular winter attraction: the Han River Sledding Hills. These limited-time winter playgrounds offer easy, affordable fun right in the heart of the city.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government is simultaneously opening three major sledding locations across the Han River parks, running for nearly 50 days straight.

Where to Go Sledding

Three major Han River Parks - utilizing the empty space of their summer swimming pools—have been transformed into winter wonderlands:

Ttukseom Han River Park: The classic, original location.
Jamwon Han River Park: Known for its extended nighttime operation.
Yeouido Han River Park: The newest location, near the financial district.

Key Operation Details

Operating Period: December 31, 2025 – February 18, 2026 (Runs through the Lunar New Year holiday).
Hours: Daily, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM (No scheduled closing days during the period).
Midday Break: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM daily for snow and slope maintenance. All sledding and play facilities are temporarily closed during this time.
Entry Fee: 6,000 KRW for all ages (Children, Youth, and Adults). This fee includes access to the sledding slope, snow play area, resting lounge, and character performances.

Special Theme Zones and Night Sledding

This year, the Han River Sledding Hills are stepping up their game with popular character themes and special operating hours:

Ttukseom: Features Pororo and Friends on a special travel theme with Tayo the Bus.
Jamwon: Features Pororo and Friends (known for its family-friendly programming).

  • Night Sledding: Jamwon will offer extended hours until 8:00 PM from December 31 to January 4, and every Saturday and Sunday in January.

Yeouido: Features Loopy (Zanmang Loopy), the charming, mischievous beaver character.

All locations will feature a dedicated "Pororo Village" theme zone with photo opportunities and character parades, along with large heated rest tents where visitors can enjoy performances and a wider variety of food options than in previous years.

Discounts and Accessibility

50% Discount: Available upon presentation of valid proof for National Merit contributors, disabled persons (Levels 1-6), disabled persons' guardians (Levels 1-3), and seniors (age 65+), and Multi-child cardholders (including registered family).
Free Entry: Infants under 36 months old can enter for free with a supporting document (health insurance card or resident registration copy).
